Activated Charcoal Powder - 50 grams

Activated charcoal has been used for centuries by various cultures to detoxify the body. The ancient Egyptians used this charcoal to remove bacteria from their wounds. And also in China it was used to cleanse the digestive system.

Activated carbon is made from coconut husks and are free of artificial additives. These husks are heated to turn them into carbon, after which oxygen is added. Activated carbon is therefore a processed carbon, not to be confused with charcoal that you would use for a barbecue or in a fire pit. Activated carbon is created through a thermal process that removes gases and impurities from the carbon.

Activated charcoal can be used to clean your teeth and whiten your teeth. Activated charcoal is able to bind to plaque, leftover food residues and other impurities in your mouth. In addition, activated carbon removes tannin, the stains that are caused by drinking coffee, tea or wine.

In addition, activated charcoal can maintain oral hygiene, because the activated charcoal binds to pollutants that are in your mouth.

How to use: Put some water on your toothbrush and dip it in the charcoal (powder). Brush your teeth as you normally do, especially in the areas with the most stains. Then rinse your mouth with water and do not stop until the water has a clear color when you spit it out. Repeat brushing with activated charcoal two to three times a week for best results.

You can also use activated charcoal powder as a mouthwash by rinsing some activated charcoal powder with a little oil in your mouth for about 10 minutes.

Note: Activated charcoal is not a substitute for toothpaste.

You can use activated charcoal powder also to make a face mask. To reduce impurities, mix the activated charcoal with some coconut oil or combine with a clay mask. Apply it to a brush and put a thin layer on your face, or apply it gently with your fingertips. Rinse it off after about 10 minutes once it dries. The result: soft, deeply cleansed skin.
